About Jumping Goat Ranch

We’re so happy you have chosen our property for your vacation and hope you fall in love with the Texas Hill Country as much as we have. As owners, we stay on the property a great deal of the time, so if you see us, please feel free to stop and say Hello!

We have loved the Texas Hill Country area for as long as we can remember – and Fredericksburg captured our heart.  We always dreamed of owning land in Fredericksburg and finally in 2020 were able to make our dream a reality.  Jumping Goat Ranch is the product of that dream.  Our desire is to offer guests a peaceful quiet nature available in a setting that has phenomenal viewsthat the hill country provides while enjoying highly curated cabin’s.  

Mark has enjoyed a successful career in the Oil & Gas industry, while Lisa has been in the technology world of Cyber Security.  Jumping Goat Ranch provides us both a respite from the hustle & bustle our our “day job” in Houston TX.

When not working, Mark enjoys woodworking, fishing & hunting.  Lisa is a creative, always finding new ways to express her inner creative self, whether its gardening, cooking, cake decorating, working with clay or making candles – you can bet she is busy crafting something!!  Both have a love of wine and great food and when time permits, love to entertain.  

We have a daughter, that just graduated from High School and will be attending college this fall to continue her studies in animation.  The other member of our family is Magic – our American Eskimo, who also loves the ranch!  You might see him riding with us in the mule on the property – always in the front seat!!
