My husband and I were very excited to find this brand-new property in the Texas Hill Country. Jumping Goat Ranch exceeded all of our expectations.
We stayed in the larger 3 bedroom/2 bath house, but friends joined us for the weekend and stayed in the 1-bedroom casitas. Built on the top of a large hill, the scenic view from the front porch is amazing. My husband wanted to just sit there with his cocktail and book during our weekend stay. Everything about this property is perfect.
The house was decorated “just right” to feel like a home but not too fussy. Everything I needed to cook was provided including great appliances and dishware. Beds were very comfortable, and the sheets and towels provided were top quality.
Located just a few minutes outside of Fredericksburg, it was easy to go into town for activities or to visit other hill country towns such as Sisterdale, Johnson City, or Comfort. There are hundreds of award-winning Texas Wineries nearby and several distilleries you can visit for tastings. We can’t wait to return to enjoy this new hill country destination.

We stayed in the Guest House with another couple. The bed was extremely comfortable. The internet, WiFi, and digital services were extraordinary given the remote location. The rustic chic decor is amazing – very well done!
The lay out of the property affords privacy wherever you are staying. We look forward to staying at the Jumping Goat Ranch again.

We were in the Guest House. The kitchen is very well equipped with upscale appliances and equipment – everything you might need.
We had beautiful views, incredible high end furnishings, and as our friends were staying at the other properties the Guest House afforded us the perfect place to gather for afternoon cocktails, dinner together, and late night games.
We will definitely be back!
